Tour Logistics
Groups are expected to arrive at the agreed upon rendezvous point fully fueled, assembled [if possible, lined up two abreast] and ready to begin at the appointed time. For late arrivals or no-shows, your guide will wait up to 30 minutes before being released from the tour obligation.
For our scenic tours, riders should have the riding skills necessary to maneuver safely on country and mountain roads.
On battlefield tours, be aware we will be crossing hallowed ground. Respect to the fallen and to others visiting the field is the theme of our group ride. This is best displayed by limiting noise levels to a minimum and maintaining a free flow of traffic.
Parking two abreast is preferred over backing in and tying up traffic. Some stops, however, may be on a slant, requiring bikes to obtain the best lean for parking.
Safety comes first. Riders should have experience in group rides. Helmets are recommended. Attentiveness to rider safety on unfamiliar roads is essential.
Gettysburgtrips.com is a service limited to providing linkups between qualified guides and visitors. Once the guide contacts the leader of your group making the reservation our service is completed and limited to any assistance requiring followup in completing tour arrangements. Any warranties, arrangements, or contracts made to fulfill the reservation are solely between the guide and the party making the reservation.
